Images For Napier University

March 23rd, 2010

I’ve applied to study graphic design at Napier. The university requires some digital evidence as a first step, so here it is.
The images in this gallery will become pages in a portfolio book I’m assembling, to be printed by www.blurb.com.

The main character in my 3D environment will be the devil.  I’m currently modelling him in Blender.  Here is a ‘work in progress’ preview of the head.

In due course, I expect to unwrap a UV map of the devil and take it in to Blender to be textured.

An Influencial designer

September 6th, 2009

An influencial designer for me is a designer called phillippe stark who is a designer in all different area, including archictectural desgn, product design. He has a destinct ability to turn every day objects into statements of style which is shown in his previous work for example, the juicy salif which is a lemon sqeezer and can be found in many modernised house holds.  Another example of this unique ability is shown in The microsoft optical mouse as yet again he has taken an average mouse and turned its appearance into the human brain by splitting it in half with a unique curving hemisphere splitting the mouse into two like a human brain. philippe starks main influence was his dad who was an aircraft designer which put philippe stark into the path of design.
